Fiorentina bid for Klopp favourite
16:40: Fiorentina are looking to hijack Liverpool’s swoop for Borussia Dortmund starlet Emre Mor.
Turkish publication Sozcu claim Fiorentina have struck a four-year agreement with Mor.
The two clubs have yet to agree a fee but it’s thought £11million will be enough to secure his services.
However his agent, Muzzi Ozcan, is still keeping his options open.
Ozcan said: “There has been an offer, it looks promising but we have not decided yet, we will hold a meeting over what we do next.”
Inter target Karamoh
16:14: Inter Milan are closing in on a deal for Arsenal and Tottenham target Yann Karamoh.
Karamoh has been dubbed the ‘next Kylian Mbappe’ for his impressive form on the wing for Caen.
Monaco value Mbappe at over £100m.
But with 19-year-old Karamoh’s contract expiring next summer, Caen are chasing as little as 39m for their academy product.
Tuttosport claim Inter hope to have a deal done for Karamoh within two days.
Happy Birthday dear Matic…
15.50: David de Gea has welcomed Nemanja Matic to Manchester United with open arms and wished the midfielder a happy 29th birthday on Twitter.
The Serbia international penned a three-year deal with the Red Devils this week and it seems he has already begun to settle with his new team-mates.
“Welcome to the Manchester United family and happy birthday Nemanja Matic,” De Gea wrote on Twitter.
Thomas Lemar to Arsenal latest
15:32: Arsenal may have to sell seven of their outcasts before doing a deal for Thomas Lemar.
The Sun say a move for the Monaco star has been put on hold because Arsene Wenger hasn’t been able to trim his squad.
It’s claimed the seven flops – Jack Wilshere, David Ospina, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson, Lucas Perez, Calum Chambers and Mathieu Debuchy – may all need to leave the club in order for Lemar to be signed.
Liverpool and Man City loan deals
15:30: The growing trend of the Premier League big boys locking their youth players down to long-term contracts and then fielding them out on loan has continued today.
Liverpool goalkeeper Shamal George has signed a contract extension at the club – and has immediately gone on loan to Carlisle.
George, 19, will move to Carlisle until at least January.
Meanwhile, Manchester City have sent trio Marlos Moreno, Douglas Luiz and Aleix Garcia on loan to Girona for the season.
Transfer News: Manchester United have been linked with Serge Aurier
Mourinho in contact with Roberto
15:00: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is in regular contact with Barcelona star Sergi Roberto over a proposed transfer.
Spanish publication Diario Gol claim Roberto won’t settle for a place on the bench if they land a marquee signing.
Roberto is considering his options and is aware of interest from United, having been in contact with Mourinho.
Old Trafford could well be a possible destination with Roberto a long-term admirer of the Portuguese boss, but Mourinho would need to guarantee he’d be a regular starter to convince him to join.
Roberto has asked Mourinho where he would fit into his plans before he makes a decision on his future.
Where is Neymar going?
14:30: Neymar has suggested he is actually on his way to Spain as he continues to give Barcelona the runaround over his future.
Neymar has been in China on promotional duties and posted a picture enjoying lunch with his friends earlier today in Dubai.
But the Brazilian superstar now appears to be on his way to Spain after springing a surprise by dropping the Spain flag in a picture on board an aeroplane this afternoon.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo say Neymar is planning to fly back to his homeland today to consider his future.
Chelsea need homegrown stars
14:00: Chelsea are turning their attention to a host of England midfielders due to their homegrown quota.
The club are currently able to call on just five homegrown qualified players in Gary Cahill, Victor Moses, Andreas Christensen, Cesc Fabregas and Charly Musonda – three short of the eight-player minimum.
According to the London Evening Standard, the Blues are struggling to land Renato Sanches on loan from Bayern Munich and are keen on bringing in England internationals in midfield.
Leicester’s Danny Drinkwater, Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Everton’s Ross Barkley are all wanted.
Mata and Herrera contract updates
13:50: Manchester United are confident Juan Mata and Ander Herrera will sign new deals with the club.
Both players are out of contract at the end of next season but the Red Devils have the option to trigger one-year extensions that will keep them at Old Trafford until 2019.
However, ESPN claim United are hoping to negotiate long-term contracts for the pair.

Manchester United are confident of signing Ivan Perisic
No Coutinho exchange for Gomes/Rafinha
13:16: Liverpool are not interested in Barcelona midfield duo Andre Gomes or Rafinha.
The Nou Camp pair have been touted in Spain as potential makeweights in a switch for Philippe Coutinho.
However, according to the Liverpool Echo, both players are deemed insufficient in quality to enhance Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Reds have no interest in either midfielder, with £36m-rated Rafinha having suffered injury problems, while Gomes has struggled for form since joining Barcelona.
It is added there will be no cash-plus-player transaction for Coutinho, and senior Liverpool officials are also adamant there will be no deal done for the Brazil international this summer.
Jesus Navas joins Sevilla
12:59: Jesus Navas has rejoined Sevilla after leaving Manchester City at the end of his contract, the Spanish club have announced.
Navas, 31, featured 183 times for City, scoring eight goals to help them win a Premier League title and two League Cups.
Inter Milan struggling to find Perisic replacement
12:45: Manchester United’s delay in completing a deal for Ivan Perisic is due to Inter Milan being unable to find his replacement.
Perisic is keen to link up with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford but Inter are yet to sanction his exit.
Reports have suggested the Serie A side are preparing to offer him a new and improved contract in a bid to convince him to stay.
But ESPN say United don’t believe Inter are keen to keep hold of him and instead are struggling to find an adequate replacement and that is proving to be the main stumbling block in them wrapping up a deal for Perisic.
Matias Vecino to Inter Milan
12:04: Fiorentina midfielder Matias Vecino is undergoing a medical at Inter Milan, the Serie A club have revealed.
The Uruguay international, capped 13 times, is set to join Inter Milan for around £22million n a four-year contract.
Mustafi considered snubbed Arsenal
11:43: Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi admits he nearly rejected another move to England after his nightmare two-and-a-half years at Everton.
The German international joined the Gunners in a £35million deal last summer.
“To be honest at the beginning I thought I was done with England,” Mustafi told Arsenal Player.
“It was really frustrating and probably the worst time I had as a footballer. I didn’t want to go there again.
“But then when it came down to making a decision to stay or leave, I thought I would only leave Valencia if I had the opportunity to go to England.
“I was thankful that I had another opportunity to make a step forward by coming to Arsenal.”
Neymar heading for PSG medical?
11:28: Neymar has posted a picture enjoying a lunch with friends before his flight from Dubai to the United Arab Emirates.
He looked in relaxed mood as he uploaded a video to his Instagram stories with ‘Dubai – UAE’ as the caption.
The Brazilian superstar also shared an excerpt from the New Testament (Philippians 4:11) which conveyed that he was remaining strong despite controversy.
“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances,” the message read.
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”
Neymar was expected to fly to Doha to undergo a medical with the French giants but he appears to have made a pit stop in Dubai.

Sanchez back in town
10:45: Alexis Sanchez has arrived back in London after his summer break.
The Chile international was granted an extended absence following the Confederations Cup and to recover from the flu last week.
Sanchez stopped off in Paris on the way from Santiago aiport to renew his British work permit.
Speculation is rife about his future with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City both keen on the 28-year-old.
But Sanchez has returned to the UK, posting a picture by a private jet with his two dogs Atom and Humber along with the caption: “Back in London!”
PSG planning Neymar unveiling
10:05: Paris Saint-Germain are so confident of signing Neymar that they are already planning his unveiling.
The Guardian say PSG hope to conclude a deal to buy the Brazil superstar from Barcelona for a world-record £197m.
Neymar has a five-year contract ready to be signed in Paris with the French giants planning a bigger welcoming for him than Zlatan Ibrahimovic received in 2012.
The Swedish ace was presented on the Trocadero at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

Chelsea fans angry over Matic
11:11: Chelsea fans have been left fuming at an official club tweet sent after selling Nemanja Matic.
The 28-year-old Serbia international agreed a three-year contract at Manchester United and yesterday completed a £40m switch.
The Blues reacted by tweeting a picture of the midfielder and wrote: “We thank Nemanja for his fantastic service and wish him well for the future.”
But the fact Chelsea wished Matic the best of luck went down badly with fans.
One wrote: “Don’t wish him well while he’s a rival ffs.”
Another tweeted: “I certainly do not wish him well in the future.”
Liverpool Barca swap?
09:30: Liverpool will consider selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona if they offer £107m and could land a few players as part of the deal.
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claim Liverpool want €120m (£107m) but Barca believe the price tag has been set to scare them off.
Coutinho and his representatives believe the Reds would consider selling in an offer of €100m (£89.5m) came in.
The Catalan giants are keen to pay less though and hope by offering the Reds one of their players they would be able to sign Coutinho for a lower fee.
Arda Turan and Denis Suarez are the players Barca will hope to include in the deal with both up for sale this summer, while Rafinha’s availability could also come up in negotiations.
08:45: Arsenal’s hopes of clearing their squad of unwanted stars have been disrupted by players refusing to take a wage cut.
The Gunners have several players surplus to requirements by Arsene Wenger but is struggling to sell them for decent fees.
Kieran Gibbs, Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson and Lucas Perez are surplus to requirements but have not been able to agree deals with interested clubs this summer.
While the likes of Jack Wilshere and Calum Chambers have also been told they can exit the Emirates if suitable bids are made.

Five-year Aurier deal at Man Utd
08:20: PSG right-back Serge Aurier has reportedly agreed a five-year contract at Manchester United.
Reports have suggested United will pay PSG a fee of £22m for the 24-year-old.
And according to French outlet Paris United, Aurier is ready to pen a five-year deal at United, earning around £87,000-a-week.
Klopp’s Mane headache
07:45: Jurgen Klopp is facing a major pre-season battle to hold on to two of his most important Liverpool stars – with Inter Milan ready to launch a £35m move for winger Sadio Mane.
Klopp is already battling to hold on to Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho, with Barcelona not giving up the chase despite having a £72m bid rejected.
The Liverpool boss has insisted Coutinho is not for sale as he continues to put together a side he believes is capable of challenging for the Premier League title this season.
But Express Sport understands Klopp could soon have a battle on his hands to keep another of his key players – Sadio Mane – with Inter ready to make their move after he returned from injury in the Reds’ 3-0 friendly win over Hertha Berlin.
Conte eyes Drinkwater
06:30: Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing midfielder Danny Drinkwater from Leicester.
Drinkwater was an integral member for the Leicester team which won the Premier League title in 2016 and was subsequently rewarded with a new five-year contract.
The 27-year-old suffered a dip in form last season and struggled with injury but Sky Sports say he is one of a number of midfielders Chelsea are looking at.
However, the report says Drinkwater is not for sale and manager Craig Shakespeare is counting on him for the upcoming season.
Antonio Conte has stressed the need for Chelsea to strengthen their squad after a difficult pre-season which has seen them lose to Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
